With Orca present from Christmas day to the end of January our dolphins decided it was safer elsewhere.

Now Orca have moved through, February has seen the return of our pod of five bottlenose dolphins to the area. Visitors enjoyed a swim from the beach and a play in kayaks as the dolphins entertained from 4pm till after dark.

We can look forward to large pods of bottlenose, common and dusky dolphin as we move into March and the autumn period. Our fur seal pups, now present on some haul out areas are proving a delight for snorklers. Calm clear conditions certainly make this experience hard to beat.

As we move into our winter period we are seeing more Dusky Dolphins and Spotted Shags. Snapper and kingfish are returning to the deeper water and some of our seabirds, including the King Shag are preparing for nesting.
