Seasonal changes. Bottlenose dolphin have been regular visitors to FrenchPass. I am always amazed at how intuitive they are when it comes to weather. They head south through French Pass just before a SE change. A couple of weeksago I followed a pod into Admiralty Bay. Mum dad and the calves swept the bayfeeding on red cod. What a sight. Common dolphin have also been active feeding on bait ballsin the area. Dusky dolphin are starting to transit the Pass in pods of around50 with calves. They will be arriving in a month or two in small pods to winterover. Seal pups have hauled out on nearby haul out sites away fromthe main breeding colonies. They are wonderfully playful in the clear waters ofd’Urville Island. Broadband.
